A Sad Day
«
on:

Yesterday our adored Labrador, Toby, had to be put to sleep.
We are devastated. Although he was 12 years old, he had only been "off colour" for a week.
Thanks to photography, as well as memories we have hundreds of photographs of him, each one worth a thousand landscapes...but that's what photography is really about.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Ron. We do become very attached to our pets.

Sorry to hear your news Ron, but, as you say, you have many great memories.

Hi Ron
Saying good bye to a faithful friend is hard. We did that with a sheltie a few years back. However we also felt it was right to assist him in the last few moments of pain etc. Better treatment that we humans often get.
However, no loss of a faithful companion is easy. Saying "good bye" is the right thing.
As we get older ( I am a couple of years on you) it just seems to make more sense.
Best wishes to you and yours
Martin

HI Ron
sorry to hear of your loss. they certainly get a hold on one's heart strings and are part of the "family'. We had a sheltie for 13 years and when we had to take him for a final visit to the vet it was hard. All family members balling. It was the best, and kindest, thing to do, but awful hard.
