Hello! We're all Newbies  :o
I believe that everyone else my age is an adult whereas I am merely in disguise.

and deservedly so!!!   ;)
HERE is Edward Bear coming downstairs now, bump, bump, bump, on the back of his head, behind Christopher Robin. It is, as far as he knows, the only way of coming downstairs, but sometimes he feels that there really is another way, if only he could stop bumping for a moment and think of it. A.A.Milne

Hi Bob

Notice you are from Dundee... I use to lecture at the University there and was a member of DPS for awhile.  So... how are things there???  Have they finished the work on the bridge yet???  Are you a member of DPS???

Paul

Paul,

Notice you are from Dundee...
Correction: I am from Dumfries - I live in Dundee  ::)
I've lived in the city since 1990 and there have been many changes, mainly good, in that short time. I'm sure you would see a big difference from when you were working here. ('Here', I'm actually working in Aberdeen at the moment and it is nothing like it was 30 years ago - dismal  :()

You're maybe giving your age away there Paul, the replacement rail bridge was finished in 1887 and the road bridge in 1966, either way, quite some time ago  ;)

I did visit DPS a couple of times but found it to be elitist and too much towards to the 'Arty-Farty' side. It is still going strong though with a good membership and coverage in the The Courier and The Tele.

My cousin Jennifer's husband, Simon, is a member in Dumfries, but we don't talk about him - he's on the 'Dark Side'  :o
